The fee for scheduling the mediation is $100.00 and is non-refundable. The fee is to be paid to the mediator’s firm, Susan W. Cox, LLC, P.O. Box 1188, Statesboro, Georgia 30459 at the time the mediation is scheduled. The scheduling party is responsible for payment but is free to request that the opposing party reimburse the scheduling party for one-half of the scheduling fee. If not reimbursed prior to the mediation, the party scheduling the mediation will get credit for half of the fee from the other side when the costs of the mediation are billed to the parties.
The fee for the mediation is $150.00 per hour per side or party for a mediation with 2 parties. If the mediation is for 3 parties, the cost per party is $125 per hour. If the mediation is for 4 or more parties, the cost per party is $100.00 per hour. NOTE: If the UM carrier or a subrogation interest participates, the carrier or subrogation representative is considered a party, unless the main parties agree otherwise. The main parties need to confirm if additional parties will be involved when the mediation is scheduled.
If the mediation is in person at any location other than the Mediator’s office, 102 South Main Street, Statesboro, Georgia, the parties agree to pay mileage costs and travel time for the mediator to attend in person. Mileage will be calculated from 102 South Main Street, Statesboro, Georgia OR 5335 Chavesham Lane, Peachtree Corners, Georgia, whichever location is closest to the mediation site.
The fee is to be paid to the mediator’s firm, Susan W. Cox, LLC, P.O. Box 1188, Statesboro, Georgia 30459 or online using the instructions provided on the invoice. Unless otherwise specified and agreed to by the parties, each party shall be responsible for his or her portion of the mediation fee.
